Lease renewed in Watford

Acting on behalf of a private property company landlord, Ashurst Real Estate negotiated terms for a new lease on a 4,500 sq. ft. warehouse building at 5b Fisher’s Industrial Estate in Wiggenhall Road, Watford WD18 0FN.

Whilst the tenant had occupied the property for many years, they were a subsidiary of a larger parent company that was unable to renew itself.

Negotiations for the new lease were complicated by factors other than a straightforward property transaction but pragmatism by all involved allowed the new lease to finally complete, albeit after a longer timescale than originally anticipated.

Almost a win win for all as the tenant was able to secure its on going occupation of its business property and the landlord was able to secure a healthy increase in rent.

This successful renewal forms a part of a wider asset management plan that is being directed by Ashurst Real Estate.
